Google-A-Day

Here’s a fun way to engage your students in learning. Google has a question of the day page where students use Google’s search tool to find the answer. Once they locate the answer (or what they think is the answer), they type in the answer in the “enter in the answer” section.  Students are timed and may use the hint button if they get lost. Students may also go make to other days to answer those questions as well. Check it out here.

Most kid magazine sites provide great info just in a cool way that kids will love.  Benefits of these online kid magazines are: current content, reader-friendly and they introduces kids to heavier subjects.

Grammar Guru Mignon Fogarty is the host of Grammar Girl and founder of Quick and Dirty Tips.  Her segments on grammar are wonderful and can be found via the website or on iTunes in the podcast section. All segments are free in both places.
