In my quest to find a personalized, cartoon avatar, I ran across this post about someone who uses FaceTime on the iPad to do a 10 minute sketch of you and then convert it into a digital copy that he'll email right to your inbox.
In the mist of that post, I ran across a site that offers task for 5 bucks called Fiverr. It has a similar artistic guy that will do basically the same thing for a little less. Whichever the preference, both are uniquely artistic and produce awesome results.
