According to The Wall Street Journal, India is coming our with a tablet particularly aimed for it's students. Based on the review of one of the students who got his hands on one at the launch, it was a bit slow but he was pleased to see Facebook on the home screen. At just $35, this is a great advancement for the India. Only time will tell if it even remotely competes with the iPad. Personally...iDoubt it, but we'll see.
